A wonderful pendant from the late 20th Century. The pendant is made from solid 14kt gold and has a delightful heart shaped opal at the centre. The opal exhibits plenty of colour with blues and greens being the dominant flashes. The opal is topped with a flame and has been made with the Georgian/Victorian styles of a similar design in mind. A flaming heart is said to indicate the burning design for a loved one, an intense passion. The pendant is lovely quality and has a hinged bail, though this looks to have been sealed shut, possibly temporarily.
