A wonderful bracelet from the mid to late 20th Century. The bracelet is made from 800 silver, marked on the inside of the tongue clasp, and is a tubogas (gas pipe) style. There is plenty of spring in the bracelet and it sits on the wrist perfectly.
It is an ouroboros style meaning that the snake is eating its own tail. This symbolises the eternal and the infinite cycle of life. During the Victorian period the giving of an ouroboros jewel indicated an eternal love and a spiritual connection that cannot be broken.
This bracelet has a faint texture to the bracelet, likely to represent the snake’s skin, and there are lovely details to the head. It is complete with green glass eyes. The clasp has a firm closure and there is a safety chain for extra security.
