Vintage Sapphire & Diamond Ring
A lovely and elegant ring from the early to mid 20th Century, c1930s/40s. The ring is made from 18ct gold, marked on the inside of the shank, and is also engraved with a date 7.8.40. It has a lovely blue sapphire at the centre and this is surrounded by a rectangle of transitional cut diamonds. It is in excellent condition and the sapphire is natural.

Size - The sapphire measures around 5mm by 3mm. The whole setting measures approx 10.5mm by 9mm.
Ring Size - UK M US 6 1/4 It would be tricky to resize this ring without spoiling the hallmark or engraving.
Condition - Excellent. Blue sapphire very slightly off centre, likely set in this way.
