I love finding these! A fully working loupe pendant from the late 20th Century with London import marks for 1978. The loupe is made from solid 9ct gold with full hallmarks to the reverse. It has a pretty, floral-like pattern chiselled into the front, which follows the edge. The loupe swivels out on a pivot at the base of the bail and does magnify, though the clarity is not as strong as a usual jewellers loupe.
The chain pictured is for display only. I also have a silver version of the same loupe, which is listed separately.
Details:
Materials - 9ct Gold (marked), Glass
Age - Dated London 1978
Size - The loupe measures approx 18mm wide by 33mm long including the bail.
Condition - Excellent
Weight - 7.1g
